HISTORY ABOUT US
The Mother Cares Orphanage and Welfare Home was started in Yaabem a suburb of Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana in the year 2000 by Madam Joyce Obeng. The home was officially registered in 2005 with the registration number G16, 328 at the Registrar General Department. The home works under the supervision of the Department of Social Welfare as a charitable organization and also registered as a Non-Governmental Organization from the same department with the identity: Reg. No D.S.W/3929.
The aim of the home is to better the livelihoods of the resident children at Mother Cares Home through provision of basic needs such as water, food and health care. To ensure the provision of quality education as well as the acquisition of vocational skills so that the children can become productive members in their societies and useful citizens in the entire world
To provide the basic needs of the vulnerable, orphaned, abandoned, needy and destitute children so that they become independent and useful citizens in future
MISSION: To save the lives of less privileged children and also to promote their welfare.
POPULATION: Currently, there are 75 children in the home whose ages range from 0-18 years

us since the children number keep growing in size. This includes trying to
buy land so that the children can grow their own crops.
