BETTER NOURISHMENT FOR THE CHILDREN

Through donations from generous philanthropists
and after a lot of hard work, Mama Akos and her
staff have provided better nourishment for children
by giving them fruits twice every week.

We feed the children with three(3) nutritionally
balanced meals everyday and also provide them
with vegetables and proteins as well as their usual
carbohydrate in their diets.

Made provision of Pipe Borne water and Wells to
provide hygienic water to the children. Water tanks
have also been installed into the orphanage grounds
to provide water in times of shortages. These are
refilled on monthly basis with fresh water.

selected to represent the Central Region at the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) in 2010 at Tamale, Ghana.

In addition, there is a Mother Care Brass Band and Cadet Cops that performs marvelously at various social gatherings when invited.

HEALTH CARE
In order for the children to get the chance to discover their potential both physically and mentally, Mother Care home believe that it is vital to provide them with a
good education. However it is imperative that the children's health is of at least an average standard so they can at least stay focused, attentive and awake in school.
Listed below are the projects we are focused on;

Health Insurance
To provide every child with Health Insurance so we do not have the constant worry of rampant sickness and death within the orphanage

First Aid
To keep a constant supply of First Aid materials for the older members of the orphanage to address issues that would otherwise develop into serious need for attention.

FUTURE PROJECTS AND PLANS

* Construct a Technical / Vocational Training Centre that will help train the children to develop skills in dressmaking, hairdressing, plumbing, beads making, catering,
to make them self-reliant in the future.

*Expand the school to have a Senior High School that will accommodate both the children and other brilliant but needy children in our local vicinity and beyond.
